Vintage French "Robert Salins" Blue and White Transferware Bone Dish
- Found at a flea market in Lyon, France
- Asymmetrical crescent-shaped dish with an ornate blue and white floral and lattice border, marked "Robert, Salins, Terre de Fer" on the underside
- It is vintage so it does show signs of use and wear consistent with age
What we love about it:
That distinctive curved shape was originally designed to sit at the edge of a dinner plate for bones or shells, but it's just as charming holding a few cookies or a little butter for the table. The rich blue and white border has real graphic punch, and the unusual silhouette makes it a natural conversation piece however you choose to use it.
Dimensions (all measurements are approximate):
9 1/4" long x 5 1/4" wide
